RIVERSIDE STUDIOS AND WEST LONDON QUEER PROJECT ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP FOR RIVERSIDE PRIDE

Riverside Studios and West London Queer Project are pleased to announce a very special partnership for Pride Month. The two organisations, rooted in West London, are working together to celebrate Pride Month and Riverside’s first Riverside Pride Film Festival - a carefully curated selection of films celebrating love and identity through the lens of some of the world's most innovative and powerful storytellers.

Riverside Pride continues the long tradition of LGBTQ+ programming at Riverside. Riverside Pride Film Festival runs from Friday 10 June until Sunday 12 June and includes an exclusive preview screening of Wildhood, an exploration of identity and belonging, directed by Bretten Hannam. Riverside Pride will also proudly feature Todd Stephens’ Swan Song, followed by a live Q&A by the director.

Riverside Studios and West London Queer Project will be celebrating their partnership on Saturday 11 June at the very special screening of Stud Life, Campbell X's acclaimed and award-winning London-set lesbian drama which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. This special Pride screening will see it screen with a short archival news piece that offers a fascinating look back at Black gay organising in the 1980’s.

Chris Martin from Riverside Studios said “Riverside Pride celebrates stories that are both universal as well as unique. We are pleased and proud to be kicking Pride Month off with this very special season and to be welcoming our friends from WLQP into the Riverside Family."

Aubrey Crawley, founder of the WLQP said “Over the years, places for people of the LGBTQ+ community to meet and feel safe have almost all vanished from West London. We are thrilled that Riverside Studios has re-launched its commitment to LGBTQ+ programming with Riverside Pride and to making Riverside a home for the WLQP”.
