We're looking for a Volunteer Coordinator (this is a volunteer position) to join the West London Queer Project Team.
Overview
The West London Queer Project (WLQP) is a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) driven by the desire to connect, support and give voice to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and other sexual and gender identifying (LGBTQ+) people in West London. Our organisation aims to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people in West London and beyond. We offer fun events, a safe space, a welcoming, supportive and safe environment to uplift, empower, and connect as well as advocacy, awareness-raising and change making activities among local policy-makers.
The Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and strengthening our volunteer programme. This position is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and engaging volunteers, while ensuring a positive and consistent experience that reflects the values of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Review and assess volunteer applications in a timely and thoughtful manner
Provide onboarding and orientation for new volunteers, ensuring they feel welcomed and well-prepared
Coordinate and manage perks, recognition, and engagement initiatives for regular volunteers
Oversee volunteer sourcing and scheduling for events and organisational activities
Maintain and update the volunteer database, ensuring accurate and organised records
Support ongoing communication with volunteers and act as a key point of contact
Standards and Representation
We value our volunteers as ambassadors of our organisation, and we encourage everyone to work together to maintain a strong and positive public image. The Volunteer Coordinator will help ensure volunteers understand and uphold these expectations in all interactions and activities.
