Free Stop Smoking Support for LGBTQ+ Community in Ealing

Smoking rates are higher among LGBTQ+ people, particularly among LGB women and bisexual men (ONS, 2019). For many, smoking can become part of social life or a way of coping with stress, anxiety, or experiences of discrimination. Evidence shows that people who use local stop‑smoking services are around three times more likely to quit successfully than those who try to stop on their own.

Ealing Smokefree Service offers free, confidential support to help people quit smoking through a personalised 8 week programme. Delivered by trained Tobacco Dependence Specialists, the service includes 1:1 behavioural support and free stop‑smoking aids such as nicotine patches, vapes, and medications. Anyone aged 18+ who lives in Ealing or is registered with an Ealing GP can self‑refer. Support is also available through the London Stop Smoking app.

As spring arrives and social plans pick up, this may be a good moment to take stock of how smoking is affecting your health and finances. Inclusive, non‑judgemental support is available if and when you’re ready.

Find out more and self‑refer via the Ealing Smokefree Service website, or choose 24/7 digital support through the London Stop Smoking app
