Where Your Donation Goes

Every donation to West London Queer Project helps us create safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces where LGBTQ+ people can connect, make friends and feel like they belong.

​

While many of our activities are free or low-cost to ensure they're accessible to everyone, they are never free to deliver. Your support helps cover the essential costs that make our work possible, including:

• Hiring sports pitches and community venues

• Professional coaches, facilitators and performers

• Event equipment, staging and sound

• Insurance, safeguarding and first aid

• Volunteer training and support

• Marketing and outreach to reach isolated LGBTQ+ people

• Subsidised tickets and activities for those who cannot afford to pay

• Running community events, socials and wellbeing programmes throughout the year

Your donation also helps us deliver large-scale events like our annual Street Party, which is free for everyone to attend but costs tens of thousands of pounds to organise safely.

As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, every pound we receive is reinvested back into our community. We have no shareholders, and any surplus is used to expand our services, reach more LGBTQ+ people and create even more opportunities for connection, friendship and support.
