Ealing

Ealing, a borough in West London, has played a significant role in advocating for gay rights. In the 1980s, it was one of the few areas to have a gay and lesbian group actively campaigning for equality, raising awareness during a time of widespread discrimination. Notably, Ealing’s Pride festival, first held in 2019, celebrates diversity and inclusion, drawing attention to the borough’s commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ communities. The festival has become an annual highlight, showcasing Ealing’s vibrant and accepting character.
