Tinderella announces London season at Riverside Studios

The team behind the legendary Above The Stag pantomimes bring their “fabulously filthy” Adult Pantomime to Hammersmith, promising a VERY Happy Ending.

Bippity, Boppity, Boo - this isn’t the Cinderella you once knew! A Cinderella for the dating-app generation is heading to Riverside Studios, Hammersmith, as the adults-only pantomime Tinderella: Two Big Balls, One Happy Ending! prepares for a new London season.

Produced by Happy Ending Pantomimes, led by former Above The Stag artistic director Peter Bull. The production offers a distinctly adult reworking of the traditional fairy tale.

Audiences can expect the familiar ingredients of pantomime, including outrageous characters, popular songs with witty rewrites, audience participation combined with bawdy humour, fast paced delivery of endless innuendos and a search for the Prince with the biggest balls!

At the centre of the story is Tinderella, a social-media obsessive whose glamorous online persona disguises a rather less successful reality. She has no money, no relationship and little prospect of escaping the life she shares with her formidable stepsisters.

Her fortunes appear to change when she encounters not one prince, but two! What follows is a competition involving romance, rivalry and a pair of unusually prominent balls, as Tinderella attempts to decide which royal suitor might provide the happy ending she has been swiping for.

From the original creative team responsible for the cult pantomimes staged at Above The Stag, the LGBTQ+ theatre founded by Bull. During his 11 years as artistic director, Bull established the venue’s annual adult pantomime, which became an annual sellout fixture of London’s festive theatre calendar.

Tinderella has previously been described by Theatre & Tonic as “energised” and “flamboyant”, while QueerGuru called it “a fabulous filthy panto with the right balance of feeling dirty and feeling good”. London Theatre1 praised its “howlingly hilarious word-play”, and one audience member reported that their “face ached with laughter”.

The producers stress that the production is intended exclusively for grown-up audiences. Whilst your inner child must see the show, your real children should be left safely at home, along with anyone expecting the Cinderella story to remain entirely respectable.

With its swipe-right heroine, duelling princes and promise that “happy endings are guaranteed”, Tinderella: Two Big Balls, One Happy Ending! will play Riverside Studios, Hammersmith, from December 10th until December 30th 2026.
