West London Walks

Situated in Runnymeade, the beautiful Virginia Water lies at the southern edge of the Windsor Great Park.

On Saturday 20 January, we will meet at Virginia Water train station and will start our walk just after 10am.

There are two train routes that service Virginia Water:

From Clapham, Richmond & Twickenham on South Western Railways - train to Reading.

There are various routes along this stretch, so please select one that will get you to Virginia Water by 10am.

From Chiswick/Brentford via the Hounslow loop on South Western Railways - train to Weybridge.

Departing times include: Chiswick at 9:16, Kew Bridge at 9:19, Brentford at 9:22, Isleworth at 9:26 - arriving at Virginia Water station at 9:54am.

Please confirm train times before you travel. As things currently stand there are no planned engineering works or rail disputes planned for this date. Train tickets must be purchased in advance, either at your local station or via an online ticketing service, unfortunately contactless payment is not accepted on these routes.

We will begin this walk just after 10am when both trains have arrived at Virginia Water. If a train is running a few minutes late we will of course await its arrival before setting off.

If you are driving and plan to meet us at the park where there is car parking available, please email joe@wlqp.org so that we can arrange a suitable meet up point, which will be around 10:30am. The walking distance for people who are driving, and therefore not including the walk to and from Virginia Water station, will be approximately 7km.
