About the event
When registering, please note the two options available.
- Free option. You don’t need to pay to attend this walk, however you will be responsible for arranging your own transport. Train details noted below.
- £30 option. If you select this, we will purchase your return train ticket for you as part of a group saver ticket. Individually purchased open return tickets would normally cost approximately £38 return. This option will be removed by Wednesday 12 July as we need to purchase the group saver tickets in advance.
Trains to The Seven Sisters.
We will be getting the 8:46am train from Victoria Station to Seaford (with an interchange at Lewes @ 9:50am).
If you are purchasing your own train ticket, we recommend that you get an open return ticket from London to Eastbourne, with an additional one way extension ticket from Lewes to Seaford.
If you are driving, we recommend that you park at Lewes where you can then take the train to Seaford to start the walk, and a train back from Eastbourne to Lewes after the walk.
Meeting point.
We will meet outside Boots inside Victoria station, at 8:20am. We will be boarding the train as soon as boarding commences to try and ensure we can all get a seat, so please arrive no later than 8:30am.
If you are making your own way to Seaford, we will meet you there at 10:20am, or at the Lewes interchange at 10am.
Return to London.
We will be taking the train back from Eastbourne around 6pm. We expect that this adventure walk will take approximately 6 hours with rest points and breaks planned throughout, however we cannot guarantee exactly what time train we will be taking back to London.
What to bring.
Shoes/trainers with good grip are essential for this walk as there will be seven hills we will walking up and down, and some are quite steep. Hiking boots would be preferable if you have them.
Water, minimum of 2 litres per person is essential. There are not many places to refill water along the way.
Lunch and snacks, we will plan for rest breaks throughout the walk, and a lunch break too, so please bring a pack lunch with you.
