About the event

When registering, please note the two options available.

Free option. You don’t need to pay to attend this walk, however you will be responsible for arranging your own transport. Train details noted below.

£28 option. If you select this, we will purchase your return train ticket for you as part of a group saver ticket. Individually purchased open return tickets would normally cost approximately £39 return. This option will be removed before 5pm on Friday 27 October as we need to purchase the group saver tickets in advance.

Trains to Ramsgate.

We will be getting the 9:37am train from St Pancras International, arriving in Ramsgate at 10:56am

If you are purchasing your own train ticket, we recommend that you get an open return ticket from London to Ramsgate.

Meeting point.

We will meet outside Starbucks, underneath the Southeastern High Speed One platforms from 9am. We will be boarding the train as soon as boarding commences to try and ensure we can all get a seat, so please arrive no later than 9:10am.

Return to London.

We will be taking the train back from Margate around 6pm. We expect that this adventure walk will take approximately 6 hours with rest points and breaks planned throughout, however we cannot guarantee exactly what time train we will be taking back to London.

What to bring.

Comfortable walking shoes/trainers are required for this walk. The route is mostly flat, but there will be some points where we will need to walk up hill, and parts where we will be walking on sandy beaches.

Drinking water is essential. There will be opportunities to buy more water along the route, but please note that there may be parts of the walk where there will be long distances and no shops to buy supplies.

Lunch and snacks. We will plan for rest breaks throughout the walk. We suggest you bring a pack lunch with you, but there will be  some opportunities to buy food along the way.

If you have any further queries relating to this Adventure Walk, or about travel requirements, please contact Joe at Joe@wlqp.org

In the event of industrial rail action that prevents us travelling to Ramsgate for this Adventure Walk, any rail tickets purchased with WLQP will be refunded in full.
