Over the past three years, we’ve been experimenting with different venues and different concepts for bringing our community together, and attempting to make up for the lack of nightlife/social opportunities that we have in West London.
Sometimes we got it right, and other times we didn’t, but on each occasion we learned important lessons, but more importantly we have listened to your feedback.
One of the challenges that we have is finding venues that will offer us their entire space, or a private space, and not just a section in the corner of a bar or club.
Another challenge is finding a venue that will host us on the same night every week, thereby creating a regular night that you don’t have to go online to check if and when it’s happening. But, as many of you have said, this could also become repetitive
Furthermore, it’s important that venues don’t just see us as a ‘Pink Pound’ opportunity; they need to be our allies, and understand and appreciate needs and desires of our community.
With all of this in mind, we bring you Fruit Bowl, our new branding for pop-up LGBTQ+ nights out in West London. These could be a club night, a drag extravaganza or even just a social, keeping things fresh and fun, and allowing us to experiment and grow.
Some nights will be free and and will have a cover change, but you’ll always know what you’re getting upfront.
Why Fruit Bowl? Well just like our community, fruit is sweet and colourful, and it comes in all kinds of fabulous shapes, sizes and flavours!
